Gripping your sword tight, you pass further into the bowls of the earth. In time, rough hewn tunnels give way to smooth cylindrical surfaces, each looking as if it had been burned and cauterized somehow. A stalactite, the height of a man suddenly looms up in front of you, though as you draw near, you realize in horror that it's no rock formation, but the petrified remains of a creature frozen in agony. The air is stuffy, yet a cold chill runs down your spine... Welcome to a Beholder's Lair.
