Kartakass itself is a heavily forested domain with very few settlements in the rugged foothills of the Balinoks. The hills are riddled with caverns, fog is common, the brush is dense, and the ground rocky. Most of all, the lands are overrun with twisted trees and bold packs of wolves! The Kartakans who inhabit this land have rich, melodious voices have a song for every labor and occasion. Their music drifts through the forests and hills regularly, and though beautiful, it is filled with sorrow.
