Welcome to the domain of Hazlan, a blasted land that lies south of Barovia and Nova Vaasa, in the southeastern corner of the Core. Hazlik, an evil wizard, rules this domain undisputedly. Every inhabitant knows that he is the absolute dictator , and his iron will is carried out by his small council of governors enforce his ruthless rule.

The lands are quite different than Barovia, with the eastern half spreading into lazy, rolling hills that are grassy and easy to travel while in the west, the Balinoks rise up, making the terrain rocky and rough. The northern part of the land is largely uninhabited wilderness, with a small village holding on the estate of the land's evil ruler, Hazlik! While this may seem a more pleasant realm at first despite it’s dark lord, adventurers soon find the air oppressive and the heat spiteful and cloying. The lands are a cornucopia of strange creatures, many of them misshapen by magical experiments who will not hesitate to attack an unwary hero, armed or no. Beware!
