A green mound stands surmounted by a massive oak tree amidst the these hardy foothills. As if in defense, a number of other smaller hillocks ring the tree topped center, each forming a bastion of earth in parody of man's wood and stone fortifications. All looks quiet and peaceful as the afternoon sun shines in a open sky...
